Welcome to itty bitty builds! This is a small business run by me, Cara Dreifuerst (CARE-uh DRY-first). I am an interdisciplinary designer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and have skills in sewing, 3D modeling and printing, and digital design. I have designed and produced every product on this website myself. In addition to product design and development, I am also behind all of the photography and web design of this site.

I am originally from Rhinelander which is a small town in North-central Wisconsin-- go Hodags! I have always really enjoyed drawing, sewing, and building things. When I was younger, I would often collect trash to repurpose into an art project or I would sneak into my dad's wood-shed to gather scrap materials to build with. 

I moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota for college and have enjoyed living here since. I LOVE walking the numerous pedestrian roads all over the city and around the city's beautiful lakes. My favorite spot is by Bde Maka Ska, which is featured in one of my topographical maps. I also really appreciate all of the fun restaurants, cafes, and boba shops in the area and have made it a habit (for better or for worse) to visit a local spot every week.

When I'm not creating or designing something, I really like going on runs around the city, figure skating, playing pickleball, going on bike rides, playing piano, painting my nails, journaling, rooting for the Timberwolves, and binge watching tv and Youtube videos. Some of my favorite tv shows are Community, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks & Rec, Arrested Development, Brooklyn 99, and Gilmore Girls.
